I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding my experience at one of your Jilly’s Car Wash locations at approximately 7:57 PM. I have been a loyal Unlimited Membership customer for several years, which is why this experience was especially disappointing.

I arrived and entered the wash lane before closing time. As soon as I pulled into the lot, instead of an employee coming to my vehicle to assist me, an employee immediately ran out and placed the cones down to close the lane.

Afterward, I was asked from across the lot what my license plate number was because my membership was not showing up. I explained that I had an Unlimited Membership and provided my plate number. I was then told my account was not appearing in the system.

I explained that my payment card may have been locked and that if they simply attempted to rerun the payment, I could immediately unlock the card so the transaction could be completed. Instead, another employee came outside and repeatedly told me there was nothing they could do because they were closed.

I explained that I had already been in line before closing. Had someone come to my vehicle first instead of immediately placing the cones out, the issue likely could have been resolved within a minute or two. I also explained that if several vehicles had already been waiting in line before closing, those customers would normally be assisted before the lane was shut down.

At that point, the employee became dismissive and told me that he had been there all day, that he had a family to get home to, and that he was leaving. He also stated that he did not care and refused to make another attempt to process my membership, even after I explained that I could unlock my payment card immediately.

Unfortunately, the conversation escalated, and we ended up in a heated argument that included raised voices and profanity from both of us. I acknowledge my part in allowing the conversation to become heated. However, I believe the situation could have been avoided if there had been a genuine effort to help resolve what appeared to be a simple payment issue.

Despite my willingness to correct the problem by unlocking my card, the employee refused to rerun the payment, shut down the lane, placed the cones out, and left.

I understand employees are ready to leave at the end of their shifts, and I respect that. However, I also believe customers who are already in line before closing deserve a reasonable opportunity to complete their transaction, especially when the issue can likely be resolved in just a few moments.

As a loyal member for years, I expected a much higher level of customer service and professionalism. I respectfully request that this incident be reviewed, including any available security camera footage, and that you determine whether the employees involved acted in accordance with Jilly’s customer service standards and closing procedures. I would also appreciate clarification of your policy regarding customers who are already in line before closing time.

I brought my fiancés vehicle here as a gift for an inside and outside detailing. They kept the vehicle the whole day and the results were very poor. The outside was still dirty and had dust and prints everywhere. The inside was left with fuzz all over the dashboard and it was extremely oily everywhere, to the point where my hands were oily when touching the steering wheel. There were many parts all over the inside that were still dirty as well. I will not be using them again for detail services.

I’ve got the monthly pass and go to Jilly’s on Capitol and Lilly regularly. The license plate reader is hit or miss, and even with a membership, you still have to push a bunch of buttons every time. It’s annoying.

Once you’re in, it’s fine. They usually hand you a dash wipe and air freshener, though sometimes you have to roll down your window and ask. The wash does what it’s supposed to.

They recently added more parking and cleaning stalls, which is a nice upgrade. Supplies and towels are stocked, and it’s easier to get in and out than the Elm Grove location.

No real complaints — just wish the check-in process wasn’t such a hassle every time

Excellent service offered for the price paid on monthly car wash enrollment. Great bonus with Glass and Upholstery cleaner with cleaning towel. Vacuum suction is really powerful and overall great experience
