**UPDATE**. After posting my issue the Manger Troy reached out to me to apologize for the experience that I had had and refunded me the money. I am genuinely surprised and extremely happy that they were willing to make this right. I believe the new management and new employees are much better and understanding than the old ones. So I'm updating this and my rating because they made this right even though it had been so long. Thank you Troy and the Point S team for making this a much better experience!!

Had a clicking noise so went to point S. The old manager and mechanic ( that are no longer there) said it was the tension pulley so they replaced that and belt. Cost was around $350. As I was leaving the parking lot I could still hear the clicking noise so went back in and now they said it's the timing chain and they couldn't hear that click over the pulley. Was going to cost about $1360. I'm on disability and it took me about 2 years to finally save enough money to get it done. Point S said they couldn't do the work. So I went to aamco and they quoted me $1400 ish. So about the same. Took my car in for the work and after they (aamco) looked at it they said it was the tension pulley ( which was in the timing chain kit) so they replaced that and no more clicking.

So short version point S screwed me out of $350ish and we're trying to screw me out of $1360. Definitely won't be going back to them.

I've been bringing my car for oil changes and tire rotations for a couple years now. Initially, my vehicle had a slow leak on one tire and I brought it in for repair or replacement. They did a free repair so I decided to come back when I needed an oil change. The staff is friendly and they've never tried to push any other services (which I've definitely experienced in many other places). Most of the time I drop off and go grab food while waiting for my oil change but on my recent visit I didn't get there until after 4. They were able to squeeze me in before they closed at 5 and got it done super quick. I intend to keep bringing my vehicle here as long as I'm in the area!

I made an appointment for 0800. I arrived before earlier than my appointment. Got checked in and they asked if I wanted the tires rotated. I said yes please. At least a half hour later, a tech came with my cabin and air filter and showed me they were dirty. I told him to go ahead and replace them both. This whole process from start to finish took just about 2 hours. I feel like it shouldn’t have taken that long. Then when I started my car and drove away, I was driving to work, roughly a mile, the TPMS light came on. I was already way late for work so I figured I would recalibrate it after work. When I got off work, I recalibrated it. It never came on the drive home. The next day, my wife took the car to work and on the way, the light came on again. She let me know and I called the store in Salem, where my wife was currently at and they told me they couldn’t do anything for me unless she was able to bring the car to them. She was not able to as she was at work. I then called the Lebanon store and spoke to Matt. I explained the situation to him and he said rotating the tires shouldn’t have done that. I asked if there was anything he could do. He told me that he would make some calls and call me back. He never did. Not very happy with customer service or the fact that my wife was worried about driving the car.

I've always had excellent service from Point S in Lebanon. I've bought my tires there and have had various services/repairs on my vehicles for the past twelve years. This time it was for tire rotation, and since I purchased them there, the service was free. It took a little longer this time since they had only one technician working that day. But as always, they did a fine job. I'll stick with them!
Thanks, Gills Point S!

I’m extremely disappointed with Point S. I want to start this off by saying we have been very patient and understanding. I get accidents happen, but the way this one was handled is beyond me.

I’ve been having issues getting my wheels balanced. We have taken it there at least 5 times with no fix. I was told to bring it back in so they could try it again. They had a new guy doing it and apparently he used the wrong size tool to take off the lug nuts and messed up my wheels a decent amount.

They initially were very apologetic and explained what happened after reviewing their camera footage. They told me they’d reach out to a local wheel restorer to get them fixed. Okay great. I really appreciated them wanting to make it right. Well, after a month of waiting and “no response” from their supposed contact, I decided to reach out to some local shops. One single phone call later, I reached a wheel restorer, who turned out to be the very same person they claimed hadn’t responded. He said he never got any calls or texts from Point S. Within a week, he came out and repaired the wheels himself. Great work by the way Alloy Wheel Repair!

When we initially stopped by to tell them we contacted their guy, Eddie had the audacity to say we should split the cost. Excuse me? We didn’t damage the wheels, they did. Why should we pay for their mistake? They then switched the story to “us having the wrong lug nuts” and that’s why it happened. I’ve had these wheels for 4 years and not one person has ever damaged them, so that excuse is not okay. Eddie finally agreed to cover the full cost.

After the wheels were finished, we stopped in to pick up the car. The owner was incredibly rude about having to spend $800, covering the cost for a $100 alignment and giving us different lug nuts for free (which we didn’t ask for) The level of attitude over fixing their own error was unbelievable. I am so glad I didn’t have to pay the $100 alignment either since it’s still off!

Between the poor workmanship, lack of accountability, and terrible customer service, I’m absolutely done with this place.

If you go here, be prepared to stay on top of them if something goes wrong, because they won’t take responsibility unless you chase them down. I’m convinced they were hoping I’d just forget about it. My wheels are no longer produced and irreplaceable, and they handled the situation with zero care. Now I have to spend even more money on going to a shop that actually knows what they’re doing. I’m also out of a warranty on the tires since I have zero faith in them to make it right should the other shop we go to say the tires are defective.

Bottom line: go somewhere else. Don’t risk your vehicle or your sanity here.
