I came all the way from Ottawa just to have dinner here, and this was my second visit — which says a lot in itself! The first time I came, I actually won a complimentary dinner, and I was blown away by the experience.
Even though our dinner was free, the quality was absolutely exceptional. They generously served us a variety of dishes, drinks, and desserts, and every single thing we tried was incredible. What impressed me most was the quality of the food — everything tasted fresh, thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and genuinely high-end.
From the outstanding service (Facundo especially was very welcoming) to the incredible food, to the beautiful atmosphere, this restaurant truly delivers an exceptional experience. It’s honestly worth the trip from Ottawa to Montreal!
If I could give them 6 stars, I absolutely would. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can’t recommend this place enough and will definitely be coming back!

I went there for my birthday (on monday)🎂 and it was amazing.

We tried the SĂ”zaĂŻ - a tasting experience to share, and we had 6 different dishes (including the dessert), and all were delicious 😋😋

A mix of flavors, textures, temperatures, umami. Just thinking about the dishes makes me crave going again.

We tried:
- TOSTADA DE ATÚN
- NIGIRI DE RES
- NIGIRI DE UNAGI
- POLLO BOMBA
- TIRADITO KYURI
- Other one I couldn't find in the menu.
- SUMMER CHEESECAKE
- SUSPIRO LIMEÑO IN MISO

Friendly staff. Amazing food. It was worth every penny.

We had such a great experience! The decor is beautiful, making it perfect for a date night.

The service was excellent and fast. Our waitress explained every dish as it arrived .

My boyfriend and I shared a variety of dishes, and every single one was packed with flavour. My favourite was the Tostada de AtĂșn. It had the perfect balance of bright citrus from the acevichada and rich creaminess from the aioli. I’m usually not the biggest seafood fan, but this dish completely won me over. I would definitely order it again!

Highly recommend if you’re looking for delicious food, great service, and a beautiful atmosphere.

Dining at Nikkei was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. We sat at the kitchen counter and enjoyed the tasting menu, which turned dinner into a front-row seat to culinary artistry. Michelangelo and Iñigo crafted each dish with incredible care and creativity, sharing the inspiration and stories behind them as they worked. Their warmth and passion made the evening feel personal and immersive, not just transactional.

What stood out most was Michelangelo’s obvious love for his craft. Every plate felt thoughtful and balanced. The flavours were exceptional, but it was the atmosphere and human connection that elevated the night into something more memorable. More than a meal, it was a two hour experience through flavours and storytelling.

Everything about Nikkei was very pleasant — the concept of mixing Peruvian and Japanese cuisine immediately caught my attention. We went for the tasting menu, which includes smaller versions of some of the house specialties. At $63, I think it’s a fair price, considering it’s more of a special experience than something you’d do every week.

The highlights for me were the filet mignon and eel appetizers — a real explosion of flavors. The ceviche was delicious, although fairly traditional, with a nice little twist from the crunchy corn. The beef sandwiches tasted a bit like a simple burger, nothing too memorable.

The fish was perfectly cooked with an amazing texture and great sides/accompaniments. Same for the meat — super tender, falling apart with the fork.

Dessert was probably the weakest part of the night. The tres leches cake was simple but good. The mousse
honestly, I’m not even sure what flavor it was, but I’d describe it as a bit strange 😅

Overall, I definitely recommend the experience. The atmosphere is dark but cozy, and the service was impeccable, especially from Rebecca.
