I called 24 hr about my AC. The call was answered by an AI Customer Agent and an appointment was scheduled at a mutually convenient time. Their AI Agent informed me that a 24HR Tech would arrive 8-10a Friday and would give a call when in route. At 7:45a on the appointment date, as luck would have it, a power outage affected the Milton area. Hoping my power would be restored once I received the call I, of course did nothing. The Tech arrived W/O a call at 8:10 explaining they do not call on their 1st appointment BC they do not wish to wake the household. Understandable, but not what 24hr AI told me they would do. I explained to the Tech (again, no power) the symptoms and that it was the blower motor, which as it turns out was the correct diagnosis. I explained my (correct) diagnosis in my driveway which could have done over the phone had he called me as their (AI) Customer Service Agent had promised. (They have decided AI is their Customer Service Agent and is the voice of 24hr). The Tech said it was necessary to preauthorize the purchase of the repair ($4k) in order to the part from the distributor in Madison if I wanted to have the blower motor replaced that day. Lead to believe I was signing a repair estimate I did so. I offered to make the drive to pick it up myself but was told that a licensed technician could only do so. I question that because it doesn’t seem plausible, they could send a courier to do so? Maybe true? Maybe not? The Tech told me that it was necessary for the blower motor to be programmed to my specific furnace model (likely true and out of 24hr control) and SERIAL NUMBER(??) and could only be used on my specific unit once programmed (suspect, at best). The Tech did call at 7P to say he could be there around 10:00P or early Saturday which was unnecessary but appreciated. We agreed to Monday morning and the blower motor was installed in about 1.5 hours, the AC was working correctly (MY diagnosis was correct). As he was exiting my garage I asked for an itemized bill and was told they do not offer that. I called customer service, actually speaking to a real human somehow asking for the same and was told the Tech told me prior to the repair 24hr does not offer itemized bills (defiantly not true!). After demanding an itemized bill I was again told they DO NOT PROVIDE ITEMIZED BILLING! I did ask for a Supervisor to call me and have not received a call. It has been 3 weeks! 2 Service Calls (one unnecessary), Customer diagnosed, 1.5 hours of labor (I’ll round up to 2) and a part(s) I have no idea what it cost, could be fair (how would I know, they haven’t even provided me with the part(s) number(s)). For the record, I also consulted AI which told me that the charge was excessive. I don’t know?

Very disappointing business. Will not use again. We bought our home new and our water heater died after not quite 2 years. This company came out and stated it needed replaced, charging over $3500 for the replacement and labor. I was told by the tech to submit a warranty request for the original unit since it broke in the warranty period. Rheem is willing to reimburse me per the warranty and per multiple discussions with them but need an itemized invoice from this company showing the cost of the unit paid that I have to provide them to finalize it. That’s all I need. All this company gave me is an unreadable carbon copy invoice that only shows the total cost. When asked, they refuse to provide a breakout stating their systems don’t itemize costs. McDonald’s can do this as can pretty much any modern business. You know what you pay for products. You just don’t want customers to see that 80% of the cost is labor. Buyer beware as this company isn’t up front with prices so they can hide their high costs of labor and hinder warranty reimbursements.
