We had the best breakfast and chai lattes at Parakeet Cafe in La Jolla. Such friendly service by Ella and Nat, such quick turnaround of our meals and such a nice lively atmosphere. A great spot for a quick and healthy lunch!

We never come to San Diego/La Jolla without stopping by Parakeet. The food is delicious and fresh. The staff is kind and attentive. Walking in this time we were greeted by Janelle whose positive presence gave off the impression she was the owner or manager. Come to find out she isn’t but treats her job as though she is. The honey cinnamon latte was made by their barista, Neda, and was delicious. Hailey and Emma were bringing out the food with big smiles. Also, make sure not to leave without trying their brown butter chocolate chip cookie! Wish we could come more than once a year.

I absolutely love this coffee shop. From the moment I walk in, the atmosphere feels warm and inviting. The coffee is consistently great, but what truly makes this place special is the team.

A special thank you to Neda, Kayla, Regina, Hailey, Janelle, Michell, and Calvin—you all always greet me with a genuine smile and such positive energy. You truly make my day every time I visit.

You can tell they genuinely care about their customers, and that level of service is rare. Grateful to have a place like this—highly recommend!

I come here all the time, and I’ve got plenty of options around, but I keep coming back for a reason. The food is incredibly fresh, super healthy,affirdabke, and tastes great. One thing that really matters to me—they don’t use seed oils, which is very hard to find. My functional medicine doctor even said this is the only place outside the home she recommends eating in the Village.

You can tell the owners, Jonathan and Carol, are involved in everything. There’s attention to detail in everything, and they run a really strong business. It’s busy, and it makes sense why.

They also have a juice and smoothie bar right next door, which is just as good and fits perfectly with everything else they’re doing.

The staff is outstanding—friendly, hardworking, genuine, and super enthusiastic. A few people I really appreciate are Kayla, Neda, Regina (the manager), Matthew, Leilani, Hailey, and Janelle.

Super clean, high-energy vibe. You feel a real sense of connection here—I see neighbors and friends from the Village all the time, which makes it even more enjoyable.

I look forward to coming here. It’s a great place all around.

Limited seating but nice spot for lunch or a good coffee. We had a large group that ordered a variety of different types of food and all were well received. The burger was particularly good. Breakfast burrito could use some texture like some crispy bacon or a pickled item or something, good with the soft scramble otherwise

They have inside and outside seating but no full tables inside, just small spots for 2-3 up along the wall
