My son has been attending Staump on and off for about 3 years and it has been an amazing experience. He looks forward to class every week and especially looks forward to the concerts they put on. The staff is amazing and friendly. My son loves having Mr.Wes for his group lessons and has learned a lot from him.

The family oriented atmosphere is welcoming from the moment you walk in, making it a place where kids feel truly comfortable exploring their creativity.

My daughters, ages 5 and 10, are absolutely loving their experience here. They both participate in the kids rock bands with Mr. Wes, and we couldn't ask for a better mentor. Mr. Wes is incredibly patient, kind, and engaging, with a natural ability to keep the energy high and the learning fun. It’s been amazing to watch their confidence grow through music.

I started drum lessons with Wes when I was about 6. I had some amazing opportunities to play live through their various programs! I’m 18 now and I’m playing on several worship teams at church and landing awesome gigs. I owe a big thanks to these guys! Definitely worth enrolling!

Our kids do voice with Miss Jessica, piano with Miss Erin and Drums with Mr Tim! They have learned so much and come so far so fast with these teachers! And what a great experience! If you have a young student that's looking to build interest and confidence around music, Staump is well worth signing up for. My daughter has grown as a person and as a musician through the structured and methodical training, and positive low pressure learning atmosphere. After several years of swim, 7 years of little league baseball and a year of martial arts, my teenage son decided he was done with sports and wanted to join a rock band. After looking around, I found Staump, which had worked out to be perfect for him. My kid is an introvert and has found his place playing guitar in a band with other kids his age. High school is tough and can be a a big stressor for a kid like mine. But Staump has been such a blessing for him during such a difficult time. Mr. Wes is amazing and so patient! Immediately after my son's very first performance, I received a text from him. He was SO excited and LOVED what Staump gave him ..... a chance to come out of his shell and shine. Staump came highly recommended from a dear friend of ours. I pass on that high recommendation from our experience to anyone who is thinking of music lessons. Mr. Wes is the best!! We love Staump Music, and are so grateful for the incredible experience they craft for students. The entire staff is wonderfully kind and fun, they really know how to cultivate a love of music in young kids. The classes are different from other youth music schools, in a good way - no pressure, always fun, and incredible skill building at the same time. My son looks forward to Rock Band every week, and Mr. Wes has such a knack for building up kids confidence and skill sets. 🫶

We've had a wonderful experience at Staump Music School! My daughter has been taking vocal lessons, and her teacher Jessica has been absolutely amazing. Jessica is not only talented and knowledgeable, but also incredibly patient and encouraging. My son has been going to Mr Wes and Ms Erin for over a year and has been the happiest kid ever! Not only has he learned the guitar, but his confidence has built up and the ENTIRE staff ant Staump is amazing! They always step out to greet parents and offer insight on how the kids are doing and the demeanor in my student SHOWS the amount of effort and support the staff puts into the lessons and just the kids in general! We’ve had Tim Staump as an instructor for 11 years! My son grew up with Tim, and still loves attending lessons with Tim. Tim taught him how to read music, and gave him the ability to play all types of music. We absolutely love Staump
Music School so much, and we are so grateful for the mentorship provided by Tim. We can’t recommend this school enough! We’ve worked with many of the other teachers as well for different instruments and voice, and all are incredible. Tim does a great job selecting his staff, everyone is encouraging and creates a safe space to grow in music! My daughter absolutely loves the 7 PM rock class on Thursdays. She’s been learning guitar and has also been taught ukulele and the bass. The focus on contemporary songs keeps her excited and motivated to practice. Her teacher, Mr. Wes, is incredibly encouraging and has built a great connection with all the kids. We love Staump Music School! Tim Staump and his amazing staff have curated a safe, fun and positive learning environment for our children to grow creatively. Mr. Wes has done a great job with a class full of littles trying to learn new instruments. Never an easy task. Mr. Tim has been a great one on one drumming instructor for both my boys. They also worked with my oldest when he needed more challenging piano parts. We have only been there for about 6 months, but I also love all the opportunities they give the kids to get used to performing publicly. It’s a good development program because it’s important for musicians to learn how to hear they other instruments they are performing with and get used to working together for the best sound. I also LOVE how communicative they are! Easy to reach via text message and they send text reminders. We have an insane work and family schedule so this is a giant blessing.

Our son started taking drum lessons at Staump Music School when he was 4 years old. Now at age 11, he has learned to play a wide variety of musical instruments including the electric guitar, bass, keyboard and ukulele. His teacher, Mr. Wes, is not only knowledgable but very patient and encouraging with his students. He's always looking to get students more involved with performances/concerts.

Our son has also been given the opportunity to jam with KidzRock, play live onstage and has even had a private student recording session during his time at Staump. Students are given complete freedom in exploring their musical interests with a variety of instruments.

Staump Music School is a true gem in the East County community. The teachers are all AMAZING and we are impressed on how much they give back to the their community.

We HIGHLY recommend Staump Music School!!!
