I would not recommend Safelite based on my experience. My biggest concern is how they handled the charges and receipt after my windshield replacement.

I was initially charged for Rain Repel, a service that was never provided. The technician acknowledged that it was not performed and told me the charge would be removed. However, instead of removing the charge, the Rain Repel item disappeared from the receipt while the amount remained under a different description, “Market Competition.”

After the repair, I contacted customer service because the receipt the technician gave me still showed the Rain Repel charge. Following that call, I was emailed a revised receipt. What concerns me is that I had already signed the original receipt with the technician after the windshield replacement, yet the receipt was subsequently changed.

When I later tried to access the original receipt through the link I had received, the link was no longer accessible. Fortunately, I had taken a screenshot of the original receipt.

My concern is not simply the amount of money involved. It is the fact that I was charged for a service that was not performed, and the billing description and receipt were later changed after I questioned the charge\.

Based on this experience, I do not trust Safelite’s billing practices and would not use or recommend them again. I strongly encourage customers to carefully review their invoice, keep screenshots or copies of the original receipt, and verify every charge before and after service

Safelite always does an excellent job. It's ready to schedule am appt, they work with most ins companies so I don't have to. They are thorough and efficient. All the people we were in contact there were so pleasant, informative, and helpful. And an especially big shout out to JOSH, thank you for being great to work with!! 👍🏾

Friendly, thoughtful service. Great hospitality. Clearly stated options and timeline for completing the job. Went above and beyond and saved and transferred my Good-to-go pass to the new windshield. Fantastic service. Thank you Safelite.

I got to my 3pm appointment 20 mins early. It said to get there 10 mins early. 4 people came in after me. At 5pm they told me my technician was just “finishing up the vacuuming” and it would be out shortly. Everyone else who came in was gone. Then my car comes around almost 2 and 1/2 hours of being there. But here’s the kicker, he told em to watch out for “glass dust.” I open up the back doors to this. And there was still some of the front seats. Mind you I had vacuumed before I even brought it to them. So I had paid $500 to sit there for 2 1/2 hours and for me to have to do more cleaning after (which I cut my hands on because ITS GLASS). BUT OH THATS NOT THE BEST PART. They left glass in the track of the window so now the window is scratched and I have to go back IN A WEEK to fix it. And probably wait another 2 1/2 hours. There’s a glass place in Lake City that’s so much better and similar priced. I should’ve just gone to them.
