Extremely disappointing and unacceptable experience. I paid a $400 deposit for a part three weeks ago and have received nothing—no part, no repair, and no communication.
I have made repeated attempts to reach out via phone, voicemail, and text, all of which have been ignored or responded with dates to return without showing up or communicating his delay. Taking a deposit and then failing to provide the service or respond to a customer is highly unprofessional and deeply concerning.
At this point, I am requesting an immediate refund of my $400. If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will be forced to pursue further action.
I strongly urge others to be cautious before doing business here.

My Experience With Speechless Appliance Repair

I had a very negative experience with Speechless Appliance Repair and its owner, Rafael. In my case, he did not appear familiar with newer-model appliances and relied on guesswork rather than diagnostic testing. He requested payment in advance, including through Zelle, and the payment was sent under a different name than the business, which made me uncomfortable. I also did not receive an invoice for the work.

After a part was replaced on my electric range, the appliance still did not work. I contacted Rafael several times asking him to return and address the issue, but he did not come back and eventually stopped responding. I received no warranty information for the part that was installed. I ultimately hired a licensed contractor, who diagnosed the issue properly and performed a software update that resolved the problem.

Based on my experience, I would not use this business again and would advise others to be cautious. I recommend choosing a licensed and professional contractor who provides clear diagnostics, documentation, and transparent payment practices.

I hired Rafael Rivera of Speechless LLC for dishwasher and refrigerator repairs. He asked for payment upfront for parts, and I paid $800. Over three months, he canceled 10 scheduled appointments.
He showed up only once and was unable to fix the refrigerator. He also brought the wrong dishwasher part, despite having taken a photo of the broken part during the estimate. He promised to return with the correct parts but continued canceling appointments with various excuses (car trouble, too busy, parts not delivered, someone else was sent but didn’t show).
When I expressed frustration, he responded by calling me a “miserable person” via text. He refused to refund the money for the dishwasher part, even though the work was never completed.
Afterward, I found multiple 1-star reviews describing similar experiences.
Warning: Do not pay via Zelle or other non-disputable methods. Use a credit card so you can dispute charges if needed.

Rafael was incredibly kind, knowledgable, and communicative. He even came to our home on a Sunday after he attended church with family. Would definitely recommend his company anytime.

Speechless Appliance Repair did an excellent job on my refrigerator. I needed a new board and a line to the compressor. I was told by others to purchase a new one, but Rafael fixed it quickly and professionally. It is up and running perfectly now. Rafael is honest, reliable and truly a man of integrity. Highly recommend.
