We came to the city for a quick getaway from Raleigh. First, this city is great for seeing beautiful places and museums, and this restaurant is so convenient and the food is good. But a special heads-up to the drinks! I had their seasonal drink, the Verdant Martini, and it’s one of the best I’ve ever had. Also, the tuna tacos are so good.

This was my first time at Mariposa and it did not disappoint. The restaurant was beautiful, the staff friendly and professional, and the food was top notch. I enjoyed the Peruvian Chicken Bowl and it was outstanding. So many flavors that worked so well together. I left feeling full and satisfied. I would highly recommend this place to others and I look forward to coming back again.

We had a wonderful Sunday jazz brunch here. The food was delicious with a good variety of choices. The menu consists of local produce. Food was prepared well, attractively presented.
The waitress Lauren provided friendly enjoyable service.
The Sunday jazz duo was great entertainment.
I highly recommend this restaurant.

I recently had the pleasure of DJing a wedding reception at Mariposa on 4/4/26, and the entire experience was absolutely flawless from start to finish.

Erica and her team were incredible to work with. The bartenders, servers, and entire staff were extremely professional, warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout the evening. What really stood out to me was how they balanced professionalism with such a fun and friendly energy that made every guest feel comfortable and taken care of.

The venue itself was beautiful and exceptionally clean, including the restrooms — something wedding guests definitely notice and appreciate. Everything was maintained perfectly all night long, which helped create such an elegant atmosphere for the celebration.

I also had the opportunity to meet the head chef Tav, who was incredibly polite and personable. The food coming out of the kitchen was absolutely amazing, and all night long I heard guests raving about both the quality of the food and how attentive the staff was. Between the outstanding service, incredible cuisine, and stunning venue, it’s easy to see why this space leaves such a lasting impression.

As a wedding DJ, working with a venue team this organized and accommodating makes a huge difference, and this was truly one of the smoothest receptions I’ve been part of. I sincerely hope I get the opportunity to perform at Mariposa many more times in the future!

This place does not miss. I'm only in town for five nights and I had to go here twice. Such unique dishes and flavor combinations, everything has been excellent! I highly recommend the baklava dessert, as well as the duck arepas, elote fitters, pork belly, and definitely the Moroccan pie! Every item I have tried has been 10/10.
