WE WERE TOLD THIS WOULD BE BILLED AS URGENT CARE. INSTEAD, WE RECEIVED A $1,000+ HOSPITAL BILL.
This location is advertised as “Urgent Care” / “Express Care,” so before going we specifically verified that our visit would be billed as urgent care with our normal urgent care copay. We were told yes.
Afterward, the visit was billed at HOSPITAL rates, leaving us with a bill of more than $1,000.
We contacted billing and asked them to review and correct it. They refused. Their own customer service representative even acknowledged that the location is listed as an urgent care facility.
We would NEVER have gone here if we had been told we could be billed as a hospital visit.
Based on our experience, GO TO A DIFFERENT URGENT CARE. We specifically asked how we would be billed beforehand, were told urgent care, and still ended up with a $1,000+ hospital bill.

I came here because I had a really bad cold and needed medication to help with my congestion. I chose this location because I thought it was similar to a quick care/urgent care and it was the closest option to me while I was at school. Unfortunately, I was shocked when I received my bill.
I was charged $478 for only a COVID test and an influenza test. I could have gotten these same tests at CVS for significantly less. When I questioned the cost, I was told that the reason for the extremely high charge was because this location is part of a hospital system. However, the location I went to looked and operated like a normal walk-in urgent care, so I had absolutely no idea I would be charged this much.
What makes this even more frustrating is that no one warned me about the cost beforehand. I’m a college student, and I feel like patients should be given some indication when a simple visit and two basic tests could result in a nearly $500 bill. If I had known the cost, I absolutely would have gone somewhere else.
The doctors and staff were very nice, and I have nothing negative to say about the care I received. However, the billing is completely unreasonable in my opinion. I understand that healthcare can be expensive, but $478 for two tests is excessive, especially when there are much more affordable options available.
Unfortunately, because of this experience, I will never be going back here again. The care may have been good, but the billing experience completely ruined it for me.

BEWARE: This facility does NOT bill your insurance as an urgent care visit, despite being advertised as “Urgent Care” and “Express Care.”
We went here expecting to be billed as an urgent care visit with the normal urgent care copay. We even verified beforehand and were told it would be billed as urgent care. Instead, the visit was billed as a HOSPITAL visit, resulting in a bill of more than $1,000.
When we contacted their billing department and requested a review of the billing code, we were told there was nothing they could do. Their own customer service representative acknowledged that the location is listed as an urgent care facility, yet we were still billed at hospital rates.
Based on our experience, DO NOT COME HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES if you are expecting an urgent care visit. We specifically confirmed how the visit would be billed and were still hit with a $1,000+ hospital bill afterward. Go to a different urgent care facility.

They bill you twice, through seacoast billing, and mass general, for the same visit. They say it's completely fine. Stay away and go to any other urgent care unless you like paying out double for one visit. Never again going back.

As I understand it, the value proposition for urgent care is the easy availability of appointments and low cost. This place is definitely not low cost even with quality insurance.
I had poison ivy and saw a doctor for maybe 4 minutes to get a prescription. The bill was $266 plus another separate $30 charge for the doctor.
The place was otherwise empty, so getting in was quick and easy.
Paying $296 for a simple, quick doctor's appointment is ridiculous. I would go anywhere but here unless I was literally bleeding to death.
