This was our first time dining at Not Your Average Joe’s, and we were so impressed! From the moment we looked at the menu, we were surprised by the wide variety of options. Whether you’re in the mood for salads, sandwiches, seafood, steak, pasta, or comfort food, there’s truly something for everyone.
To drink, I ordered the Berry Spritz, and it was absolutely delicious. It was light, refreshing, and the perfect drink for a hot summer day. I’ll definitely be ordering it again on our next visit.
For my meal, I chose the Thai Chicken Noodle Salad, and it exceeded my expectations. It was fresh, full of flavor, and had the perfect combination of crisp vegetables, tender chicken, and a delicious dressing that tied everything together. It was filling without feeling too heavy.
My husband ordered the Steak Tips, and they were outstanding. The steak was cooked perfectly, tender, juicy, and incredibly flavorful. The marinade was absolutely amazing and gave the steak such a rich, delicious taste. Every bite was cooked just right, and it’s a dish we’d highly recommend.
The service was friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the entire experience made us wonder why we hadn’t visited sooner. It’s always exciting to find a restaurant that not only has an extensive menu but also delivers on quality and flavor.
We’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu. If you’ve never been to Not Your Average Joe’s, it’s absolutely worth a visit!

My husband and I have been loyal customers of the Woodbridge Not Your Average Joe’s for quite some time now. We dine in or order takeout regularly, often at least once a week, which makes writing this review especially disappointing.
On May 21, I ordered my usual Caesar salad with salmon for takeout. After a few bites, I bit down on something hard with my front tooth. Assuming it was a salmon bone, I removed it from my mouth only to discover it was a used staple mixed into my salad.
We immediately took a photo and called the restaurant. Our intention was not to seek free food or compensation, we simply wanted to make management aware of a serious food safety issue so that no one else would be injured. The manager we spoke with, Alex, was extremely apologetic, assured us he would address the matter with his team, and offered to comp our next meal. He took down our names and left us feeling confident that the situation had been handled appropriately.
Because we genuinely enjoy this restaurant, we returned on May 29. Alex had told us to ask for him when we came back, but he was not working that day. We explained the situation to our server, who seemed largely uninterested and made little effort to understand what had happened. She did not ask for our names, despite us explaining that Alex had taken them down. After speaking with the manager on duty, she returned and informed us that they could only offer a $50 credit toward our bill.
What was most disappointing was that the manager on duty never came to our table to speak with us personally. Given the seriousness of finding a staple in food and the previous conversation we had with Alex, we expected at least a brief conversation and some effort to verify what had occurred. Instead, it felt as though the situation was being dismissed.
We ultimately declined the credit because, at that point, it was no longer about the money. It was about accountability, communication, and customer care. We have always enjoyed this restaurant and wanted to continue supporting it, which is why this experience was so disappointing.
Finding a staple in food is alarming enough. Feeling unheard afterward made the situation even worse.

I normally order food through Uber here and have always had problems. They DO NOT package food well. I once had an Uber driver get my soup all over himself and the parking lot when picking the bag up on a separate occasion. The driver was so outraged that he went back to the restaurant to complain and get new bowls of soup. Whenever I’ve ordered family sized salad from them, they’ve forgotten the dressing and the salad amount always changes from time to time. I order the same salad, so it shouldn’t change proportion. This happens a lot with other food I’ve ordered too, it’s never the same amount. I understand running out of containers and having to use what you have in stock, but you should ensure the same amount of food is measured and given. Tonight I ordered chicken tenders with an extra order of French fries. The extra French fries were missing completely and they barely gave fries with my chicken. And like I mentioned earlier, the food was not measured proportionately. One box had a couple of fries compared to the other, it’s like they barely grabbed a handful and dropped it in. It’s just sloppy. And frustrating. Like my soup previously, the sauce was completely banged and busted open. And the bread wasn’t fully wrapped, it was halfway open when I received it. Which makes me nervous about people touching it and it going stale / hard in the air. The food is good when it’s done properly, which is why I gave it two stars instead of one. But just beware of this if you order from them.

I used to come here often for lunch, but hadn’t been here in about 6 years or more until recently when I went for brunch on a Sunday. They got pretty busy by around 11AM, so you might want to make reservations. The full lunch menu is available during brunch, as well as their breakfast style brunch menu.
Service was provided by Taylor… She was friendly and did a nice job taking care of our table. She gave some great recommendations as well. We started with their Cheesesteak Egg Rolls, which were pretty good. The sauce that came on the plate added a nice kick to them! Their “That’s Fire Burger” was prepared perfectly and tasted great too.
Definitely would return!

Great food and atmosphere. apps were great. the bread and dipping oil was outstanding. ask for extra napkins because you will be wearing the food on your cheeks. Service was great even with it being busy.
