Bree in the leasing office was absolutely wonderful to work with! She was kind, professional, and always willing to answer any questions we had. She made the entire process so much easier and was incredibly helpful from start to finish. We really appreciate everything she did!

I had an excellent experience working with Bree at Metro on 5th! From the moment I arrived, she was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional. She was very knowledgeable about the property and took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly and honestly. Bree made the entire leasing process feel easy and stress-free, and I never felt rushed or pressured. Her positive attitude and attention to detail really stood out. If you’re considering Metro on 5th, I highly recommend asking for Bree—she provides outstanding customer service and truly goes above and beyond!

I have lived here for 4+ years and what started out good has gone downhill fast. Since new management has taken over, every decision has been bad. Most recently with the removal of close mailboxes in the buildings where people live and moving them to be by the main office for zero reason. Making maintenance requests are treated as vague suggestions and often met with "that's just how it is." If you want to pay above average rent for St. Charles, you are best doing it somewhere else. Maybe somewhere with effective management that can solve more problems than it causes.

Update: 3/9/2026

Water has entered my apartment during rain multiple times. I reported it in first in June 2025, October 2025, January 2026, and again recently. Despite four reports, the problem kept happening. The most recent time we weren’t home to move our belongings and several items were damaged. Drywall and carpet have been wet to the touch for now 6 days. I guess they are not worried about mold. So far all they have done is drop off a dehumidifier. Can’t even get a bucket.

Also to go along with this management denies that I have reported this multiple times despite the documentation on their maintenance request system and their emergency maintenance system. I provided screenshots and proof of this negligence and they have yet to respond.

UPDATE: 1/28/2026

Raised my rent 6.5%. Obviously I will be leaving.

Initial post:

I’ve lived here for about six months now. It’s not terrible, but it’s definitely lacking in several important areas.

One of the biggest issues is maintenance. Requests often take weeks or months to be addressed, even after multiple follow-ups with the front office. On a few occasions, maintenance tickets were marked as completed without the issue actually being fixed. I understand that my unit is older and will naturally need more upkeep, but many of the repairs feel like temporary “band-aid” solutions rather than proper long-term fixes. Communication from the front office is also very limited, they do not call or update you to let you know when they plan to address a request.

Another frustration is how difficult it is to get in touch with management after move-in. During the tour, the staff was extremely attentive and responsive, but once I moved in, communication dropped off significantly. There have been times when I’ve called multiple times in a row with no answer. It’s very frustrating when you’re dealing with time-sensitive issues. Additionally, there appears to be no security measures in place, no security cameras or visible security presence, which is concerning.

On the positive side, parking is plentiful, which is a huge plus. The location is also very convenient, especially with easy access to the highway. Touring and moving in were both very easy and smooth processes.

Overall, the complex has potential due to its location and convenience, but management responsiveness, communication, maintenance quality, and security are major areas that need improvement.
