To anyone looking to get an inspection on a home and are nervous; this is probably the greatest and most thorough inspection I have ever gotten in my entire life. It's almost like a guide on what you should address as a homeowner. For the 600 paid, this was invaluable. Vince spent almost 5-6 hours at the property, meticulously investigated almost every aspect of the home.

It really gave us a bearing on what we would be undertaking. The report itself was easy to read and navigate via web portal. It is sorted from most important to least important repair items, items worth asking a credit for, and items not worth asking a credit for. I'll probably get another inspection a couple years down the line so that I can grade myself as a homeowner. I know 600 feels steep (which is the industry-standard), but please trust me, this report is worth its weight in gold. I have it printed out and am crossing out things as I achieve them.

I HIGHLY recommend Chicagoland Home Inspectors. A special kudos to Vince who did an awesome job for us and helped us ultimately decide to close on the home.

While working on a new home purchase, our realtor recommended The Home Inspectors and I am glad he did. Michael Schejbal was very professional and much more thorough than my previous home inspector from another company. He spent time answering any questions and concerns I had, and took all the time needed to ensure I felt comfortable and was happy with how things were progressing.
I also got the opportunity to speak with Charlie and he was immensely helpful in answering some questions I had about one of their service offerings. There was no up-sell, but rather trying to ensure I purchased only what I needed for my home to adequately evaluate its condition.

Definitely would recommend and will be back should I have another home purchase!

This was our first time buying a home, and we were referred to Chicagoland Home Inspectors by a friend. Our inspector, Frank, exceeded our expectations—we truly couldn’t have been happier with his work. He was incredibly thorough, clearly explained every step of the process, and took the time to answer any and all of our questions. He truly had our best interests in mind.

The final report was very detailed yet organized in a way that made it easy to understand, which helped us request repairs from the seller.

We also had the opportunity to speak with Charlie after we were given the report, who walked us through the document, explained any areas of concern in depth, and provided a helpful second perspective.

Vince was our inspector and he did an amazing job. He was very thorough and level-headed in his explanations. The way he provided information was objective and not intended to scare us as home buyers. We had some follow-up questions that he was happy to answer and the report he provided had tons of details, photos, and videos that allowed us to feel very informed about the whole process. Charlie (the owner of the Company) was also super helpful and willing to answer any questions that we had. I would not hesitate to use them for future inspections and absolutely recommend their services regardless of how many homes you've purchased in the past.

We had a great experience with this inspection company from start to finish. Scheduling online was incredibly easy, and their website was far more professional and well-maintained than other companies we researched. All of the email and online portal communication was clear, direct, and very informative, which made the entire process stress-free.

Our inspector, Tim, was fantastic. He was flexible with his schedule when we had a last minute issue, communicated promptly and kindly, arrived right on time, and treated everyone with respect. He did a very thorough job and explained things in a way that was easy to understand while staying humble and approachable. He answered all of our questions without ever making us feel rushed.

Can’t recommend Mike S. and Chicagoland Home Inspectors enough. Very accommodating with scheduling and he provided the most thorough inspection. Mike also took the time to thoughtfully explain the basics of my circuit breaker and emergency safety shutoffs for the appliances. Had an exceptional experience with Michael! He went above and beyond and was more than thorough. My condo inspection was 2.5 hours long and he captured everything. He walked us through every finding before leaving. I spoke to Charlie before booking asking about chimney add-on and he said it wasn’t needed in my case, when easily could’ve said it was for more money. Had a great experience with Glen on my condo inspection on 10/28. He was thorough in his work and very patient in answering my questions. I’m a first time homebuyer so naturally everything seems like a big deal on the report. However, Glen did great on explaining high priority and big ticket items vs nice to have but not a hazard. I also appreciated that he spoke to me separately at the end without either agent to give me a rundown on what his thoughts and recommendations were for the hvac findings. I would highly recommend Glen if you’re looking for an inspection on a condo in the city.

Having only purchased newer homes in other states, this was our first time buying an older home. Tim and Charles are great! The website is very transparent regarding pricing, sample inspection, online scheduling, and optional add-ons. Tim came with his colleague on-time and talked us through the entire inspection, teaching us things along the way. They were professional, courteous, and thorough during the entire inspection as evidenced by their report. The additional mold, radon, and chimney add-ons proved useful in identifying potential issues.

Charles also went through the report with us personally and addressed our primary concerns, as well as helping us with ball-parking repair costs with various options that I'd call light, medium, and heavy repair routes. The information was very valuable in our decision process. The AI notes from Zoom also was great for future reference .He also opened up his network of contractors to us, suggesting contact info. Additionally, he volunteered to check estimates from third parties to ensure fair bids.
