Hudson 29 in New Albany is one of those Cameron Mitchell restaurants that’s always worth a visit. The menu is simple but full of flavorful choices, and the beautiful interior makes it perfect for a quick lunch, a business meeting, date night, or a family get-together.
The service is consistently outstanding, and the staff always makes you feel welcome. The bar is well stocked with an impressive selection of spirits and cocktails. The daily omelet special is always a great choice, and on this visit I tried the Thai Steak Salad—it was absolutely amazing. The flavors were outstanding and made it one of the best salads I’ve had. Highly recommended!

Randomly came to this restaurant and we absolutely loved it! Mason was our server, he is very knowledgeable of the menu and his recommendations were spot on. They have Pepsi products so the jack and coke was a little off but the smoked old fashioned was very good. Food took a little time to come out (went on a Saturday) but it is definitely worth the wait, especially if you are with good company. We had the King Kong sushi roll, house salad, Center Cut filet and the bbq ribs. Literally everything was delicious. The steak 10/10 and the ribs were falling off the bone tender. Thank you Mason and we will definitely be back.

A new restaurant for me- and glad I stopped in. Taylor was our server and she was attentive and very nice. We enjoyed Guac and Queso as our appetizer. Just the right amount of spice in both. I ordered a vegan black bean burger with fries, and some veggie sushi and my guest ordered the fried chicken sandwich. Both were really good and they were large portions. It is a bit pricey, $17 for 6 pieces of sushi, but overall it was a great place to go for lunch.

Wow. How do I even begin?
This was my first time dining at this restaurant and honestly, I’d never heard of it. I decided to take a chance since it was around Valentine’s Day and places were completely booked solid. We made rather late reservations for Friday (the 13th 🔪) and were a bit anxious as to how this would turn out. Man were we delighted! From the drinks, to the appetizers, to the entrees. EVERYTHING was delicious!
Our experience may not been as pleasant as it was without our he service of Cierra. She was a complete sweetheart! She took phenomenal care of us and made sure that none of our needs went unmet.
For drinks, we had the Daisy, Strawberry Mojito (not on the menu), and cask Chardonnay and a Night in Napa(? Can’t recall the exact name of the drink as it was a part of the special menu.
For appetizers, we had chilled jumbo shrimp and the trout dip- both were great! The shrimp were humongous prawns and were very fresh!
For entree’s, we had the Valentine’s Day special Halibut and the buttermilk breaded chicken sandwich. Everything was absolutely amazing!
We don’t have this brand in Cleveland, but after our visit, I’m seriously looking into bringing a franchise home!

Hudson 29 turned out to be the perfect spot for a date night. From the moment we walked in, the lighting set a warm, intimate tone that made the space feel cozy and slightly secluded, while the modern décor kept it stylish and upscale. The staff was genuinely friendly and attentive, striking that ideal balance of being present without hovering, and they made sure we had everything we needed throughout the night.
The food absolutely delivered. The sushi rolls were incredibly fresh, clean, and well balanced. The trout was rich, smokey, and memorable enough that we’re still talking about it. Hudson 29 also happens to serve my wife’s favorite drink—a Hot & Dirty martini with Calabrian Chili bleu cheese stuffed olives. Honestly, she’d come back just for those olives alone, and I can’t blame her.
Between the excellent food, thoughtful service, and inviting atmosphere, Hudson 29 made our date night feel special without trying too hard. It’s the kind of place you leave already planning your next visit. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
