We went for eye examination. The scaning machine was so nice. The service and professionalism of the optalmologist was amazing. They also have variety of eye glasses.

We had originally booked an eye exam at another place for our teen with selective mutism before we realized that might be a problem. When we called, they confirmed that they couldn't perform an eye exam for someone who wouldn't speak and was also unlikely to communicate non-verbally.

After trying many different search terms, we finally came across Underhill Optometry. The whole website gave a very friendly vibe, and it reassured us that an eye exam could be done even without any communication from the child.

Dr. Pengelly was extremely friendly and assured my son that she could do the whole exam without any input, and that he would not have to do anything if he didn't want to. Turns out he felt comfortable enough to respond with a slight nod or shake of the head when asked whether he could see the different slides or not.

I would especially recommend Underhill Optometry for anyone with a child who may not fit the mold, though I am planning to bring my other children as well.

Dr. Gillian Pengelly is the ultimate in professional, effective, friendly, helpful. I cannot say enough good things about her. I will never forget when during the pandemic she dropped off my new glasses at my home!
Her staff are also very professional and friendly. I highly recommend Underhill Optometry!
