This isn’t corporate medicine we’re practicing here – it’s personal, custom-designed health care. Our veterinary practice is located just 7 minutes outside of Courtenay in the village of Cumberland, and being small gives us the opportunity to build a relationship with each and every one of our Comox Valley patients – and their families. More than a veterinarian, Dr. Carol Champion is your pet's family doctor; someone who understands your pet's medical history, likes and dislikes and even how her environment may be affecting her health. We recognize that your pet’s health is dependent upon a variety of factors, including age, lifestyle, diet and breed. We take all of these factors into account when making a diagnosis in order to provide the best treatment available. Whether you’re from Comox, Courtenay, or Cumberland, we’d love to help you look after your pet, and show you what makes our clinic so unique.
Comox Valley Dog and Cat Vet Because we treat only dogs and cats, our training and expertise is focused entirely on canine and feline health. That means that your pet is always assured of the most professional and up-to-date treatment available.
See why it's different here. Meet our team or learn about some of the services we offer. This is an excellent place to bring your pets. We followed Dr Dewinter here, as she is the best vet we have ever dealt with. She is very knowledgable, honest and friendly. And everyone else we deal with there is fantastic. They also have very fair pricing. If you’re looking for a great place to bring your furry friends, then look no further!

Thanks for all the excellent help with Spike, you are the best vet that I have ever encountered. Spike's dog is comforting him by the fire.

Amazing place! Everyone's super friendly and helpful. They listened to what we had to say and made reasonable recommendations with options. No pressure or guilt. We will be taking our other cats in shortly.

Dr. Champion and her team are friendly and down to earth. They work together great as a team and create a wonderful energetic environment. My dog and cat were more relaxed going to Cumberland Vet than any other vet we've been to. They care about the dogs and owners more than anything and I've never felt they over charged me for anything.
Dr. Champion has a great balance of medical and natural philosophy that works perfectly for me.
I have felt much more secure as a pet owner with her support as my animal doctor and I would recommend her clinic to anyone and already have!
I wouldn't want to leave the Comox Valley purely because I have finally found the perfect vet.
They are the best!

Amazing, professional and accommodating since the very first visit! They squeezed us in last minute when an eye infection came up, and even though they were fully booked we didn't feel rushed - in fact I felt less rushed than I have been at other vets where I had made the appointment weeks ahead of time. They have even emailed me on several occasions to follow up and see how my dog is doing - I'm just totally impressed. Super thrilled with the service here and I will be bringing my two boys here for hopefully many years to come! You would be wise to do the same :)
