Very kind, compassionate and thorough care of both pet and owner. I’ve never experienced this level of consideration from a vet before! The prices are very reasonable too.

I have been taking my cats here since I moved to Guelph. They are truly amazing.
They have been so consistent and helpful over the past four years.
Very patient and kind doctors as well as vet technicians.
They always take the time to listen and offer solutions, and you can tell they really care!

I am very disappointed with my recent experience. The appointment lasted less than five minutes and offered very little actual care for my cat. Most of the time was spent attempting to upsell products, which felt more like a sales pitch than a medical consultation.
I was charged $140 for a visit that lacked any real substance. Professionalism is a two-way street—while I am happy to pay for expertise, I expect a level of service that justifies the cost. I will not be returning
And when I paid the bill the papper in the point of sale machine ginished and I did not get a redip well it will be on my bank ststment in case

It’s amazing to see the difference in my cat’s stress level when she’s at Guelph Cat Clinic versus when she has to go to a Vet Hospital where there are dogs. This is very important to me, since stress can affect test results. The entire team is well trained to make cats feel comfortable and as stress-free as possible. They are very patient with the cats, and the calm environment is something I really value. I’ve had an excellent experience with the whole team, from the veterinarians to the front desk. Communication is always easy and efficient. Dr. Farly, especially, is excellent professional! I highly recommend having the kitties cared for at Guelph Cat Clinic

I’m extremely disappointed with the care my cats received at this clinic. Around a year ago, one of my cats was prescribed thyroid medication here, and after starting it she developed severe side effects—including sudden blindness. While I can’t medically prove the cause, the timing was frightening and we stopped the medication immediately.

More recently, my other cat was given a deworming dose that I later learned was much higher than what is typically recommended for her weight. On top of that, the clinic prescribed a dewormer for another one of my cats who they hadn’t even examined, and they never performed any fecal or worm testing on the cat they originally prescribed it for. This made me very uneasy about their prescribing practices and attention to detail.

They also pushed for unnecessary and expensive testing in order to create a treatment plan. After my cat’s X-ray, deworming, and a course of antibiotics, they suggested doing a CT scan to diagnose asthma. I got a second opinion, and I was told that a CT scan was completely unnecessary in this situation.

I understand that mistakes can happen, but medication decisions and dosing accuracy are incredibly important. After these experiences, I no longer felt confident in the care my pets were receiving, and I decided to switch clinics. I’m sharing this so other pet owners know to do your own research and double-check dosages.

Edit: the information below still holds true, however we were really unimpressed with the disorganization. We had issues with a medication, no one was able to confirm whether the rancid smell was normal or not. We ended up paying for more of a different medication while we waited for a new batch of the original med to come in. The team forgot to put the order through on time and expected us to pay for another round of the replacement medication while we waited for the new batch. We ended up just taking the rancid one back home and using it. The whole system of communication between the team, practice manager, and us was unclear and frustrating.

Awesome. The Guelph Cat Clinic came highly recommended to us by other cat families in the community and they did not disappoint! All of the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and practice fear-free techniques. They went above and beyond to make sure that Juniper was comfortable during her appointment. The vet was very thorough in her exam and took the time to explain everything to me and answer all of my questions. We feel we are in great hands and will be using them as our regular vet clinic. Thanks to the whole team!

Our cats have been with the Guelph Cat Clinic since we moved to Guelph couple years ago. Our kitties have been through some tough times during these years and we have nothing but praise and gratitude towards the vets and staff here for their help in these times. From the staff at the desk to the technicians and the vets, all are friendly and professional and sincerely care about not only the owners but the cats' experience. 100% recommend.

I took an older cat who had rarely been outside my home to this clinic. We were both treated with loving kindness and appreciate your help navigating a difficult discovery. Thanks so much for the referral to Dr Lisa. She was perfect for our needs

Best clinic that I have ever been to, the care and attention provided by each and every one of the staff members for my buddy was unmatched. However I am most grateful to have met Dr. Poremba here. Shes the most caring, intelligent and dedicated person that i have ever met. Her help and guidance throughout my buddy’s battle with ckd has been priceless. Much love and thanks to Guelph Cat Clinic.

There is great customer service and then there is service that goes so above and beyond that it is hard to find the right words to label it. What I do know, this is one of the most outstanding gesture of empathy I have ever experienced from a place of business.
Two weeks ago we had to say goodbye to our beloved cat Kiefer Kasmoon.
Last week we received a beautiful condolences card from the Guelph Cat Clinic (which is the vet clinic he went to for many years) with personalized handwritten messages about Kiefer.
Today we received a letter from the Ontario Veterinary College UOG, notifying us that to further honour Kiefer’s memory, one of his vets made a monetary donation in his name to the OVC Pet Trust. My husband and I are both so touched and frankly speechless. The fact that the Guelph Cat Clinic would go out of their way to honour our cat in such a meaningful way means the world to us and is the best Christmas gift we could have ever gotten. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the love and care you showed our cat throughout the years while he battled all sorts of ailments. We are so grateful to know he got the best care available and are happy we can continue to bring our other cat Sushi to you for years to come.
