Relatively easy to find but it was confusing at first where to park viz where the office is, but once I found parking, even though there was already someone else being helped, Dominic was quick to assist in arranging and showing my 2 units. He was friendly and helpful and answered questions clearly that belie his experience and service-oriented attitude. Unloading was easy and the lifts worked well. Would recommended to anyone needing storage in Vancouver. Wish other patrons would learn to park within the lines and make everyone's day a bit easier.

I had a very troubling experience at this storage facility today.

Yesterday, I reserved a storage unit and arrived today with my truck completely full of my personal belongings, ready to move everything in. When I entered the office to complete the process, I was assisted by the assistant manager, Kevin.

I informed Kevin that I am deaf and that I rely on lip-reading to communicate. After I explained this, he put on a COVID mask that covered his mouth and then began speaking to me in a way that made it impossible for me to understand him. I told him again that I cannot hear and that I need to read lips to communicate. Despite this, he continued speaking without making any effort to accommodate the situation or ensure that I could understand what he was saying.

At one point I reminded him again that I am deaf and cannot hear him, and he simply shrugged. Because of the communication barrier and the lack of cooperation, I had no idea what he was saying or how to proceed with my reservation. I had spent time planning this move and arrived with a truck full of my belongings, so the situation quickly became extremely stressful. I ended up having an anxiety breakdown and began crying in the office.

Fortunately, another employee entered the office and stepped in to help me complete the process.

Kevin’s behavior was dismissive and unprofessional, especially after I clearly explained that I am deaf and rely on lip-reading. Accessibility and basic respect for customers with disabilities should be standard in any customer-service role. Instead, the way this situation was handled created unnecessary distress during an already difficult move.

I believe this incident should be reviewed by management, and I will also be filing a formal grievance regarding this experience. Staff in customer-facing positions should be trained to communicate appropriately with deaf customers and not ignore reasonable accessibility needs.

I took over a business and needed storage fast - I need it colder, clean, mouse-free and moth-free. They got me the perfect space for my budget, and it was so convenient, so easy to use. But really it was going in there once a month to pay storage (you can call but I went in), that the staff became to recognize me and greeted me in such a friendly manner, that I almost hated to move out! Great staff, and experience. They really helped me out in a pinch.

Outstanding Service from Berk. And thank you Kevin as well. This company listens to the customer. And they work around the customer’s needs. Giving different options to help. With competition across the street and another a block away (which I gladly left today) Public Storage has the best prices. Very clean! I even saw Berk cleaning the individual unit’s garage doors! I’m very impressed. A great experience!

This facility openly discriminates against Indigenous peoples of Canada. They have refused to rent storage units to Indigenous people, I have experienced this first hand. I am disgusted and appalled by this experience.

We visited Public Storage at 111 Commercial Drive today, and Kay was incredibly helpful. She guided us through the paperwork, explaining everything in detail with great patience. She also took the time to walk us around the facility, ensuring we understood how to use the pin pad and locate our storage unit. Her friendly and professional attitude made the whole process smooth and hassle-free. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Facility in a convenient location . Very friendly staff that take you to your storage unit and explain everything in detail when you are onboarding. Security is #1 priority, I have trusted them for years and will always come back. Very clean facilities, ample carts in the large elevator lobby with a large canopy infront to unload dry even when in pours rain. PLUS everything you need for your move, except coffee.

I made a reservation online and then went into the office to go through the paperwork pretty much right away. It was about 35 or 40 minutes until closing when I arrived, but they were happy to get everything set up for me! Dominic (the property manager) was friendly, respectful, and helpful with explaining everything to me. I was given ample time to ask questions and got satisfactory answers that made me feel confident in my decision to store with this Public Storage location. I felt comfortable and the place looked well maintained. I still have yet to move in, but based on other experiences at other storage facilities, I’m impressed and would recommend this place to friends and family. 👍

UPDATE: My time here has been great! I closed my storage locker this past week during a quick, last-minute trip to the coast. There was a chance I might not be able to take everything with me at the same time, but when I spoke with Dominic he helped figure out a plan that I was happy with. Luckily, everything did fit in my vehicle so I was off to the races and Dominic made closing up my account easy peasy! It was a great experience to have during a hectic time. If I’m back in Vancouver and need a storage locker again, I know where I’m going!

Staff is friendly and helpful, facility is clean and well lit with security cameras all over. A washroom is provided for customers and it's clean like the rest of the place. You can back in right up to the big double doors, and it's all level. No loading bay. They have dollies available for customers to use. I got a sweet deal too, 3 months at 50% off. I'm pleased with my choice so far.

I initially went to one location and was told that the location closer to my home had better prices which was very nice of the girl to tell me so I went to the Powell Street location or commercial Avenue location. They were amazing the girl at the other location had already called them and told them what I was looking for and they had everything ready for me. I highly recommend them

I have worked with this public storage location for well over 7 years.
They have always been good to me. This is a great location for business clients such as myself. This is the best option for small business instead of renting and entire warehouse with public storage you can get GREAT DEALS on high quality, high security, temperature controlled units.
