Since opening his second restaurant "Pallucci" in 2000, Chef Neil Siomra and his wife Michelle have been providing a downtown atmosphere in a mid-town location with superb Mediterranean/Italian cuisine.

I was in Leaside on business a few weeks back and had a craving for some Italian food. A restaurant called Pallucci just happened to be right there. Lucky eh?
I judge an Italian place by its Risotto or pasta. Pallucci stood up on both the occasions. By the way, their Risotto is a must! It's creamy, slow-cooked, and some of the finest I've eaten.
The wonderful restaurant is tucked away on Mt. Pleasant, a block before Davisville. Once inside, this romantic establishment is perfect for dates, families or even a business lunch/dinner.
I have been back four times already, and every time the food is great. Some friends I took even commented that it was the best Italian food they've had in Toronto.
Five Stars!

My review is not just for the restaurant, but for an entire experience that my wife and I had when we decided to have the reception for our wedding at Pallucci.
First: The Restaurant
Food is excellent, creative, and fun at Pallucci. While the wine selection is small, it's hand picked by an in-house Sommelier. Pallucci's service is outstanding and the atmosphere is both aesthetically pleasing and inviting.
My wife raved about the food, the wine and the service. She is demanding, so this speaks volumes!
Second : The Reception
This is the real reason I'm writing this review because of the absolutely amazing experience that my wife and I had using the private dining room at Pallucci as a reception for our wedding. I can't speak highly enough about how smoothly the whole process from start to finish went. Delicious food, beautiful modern settings, and fantastic service were all delivered as promised. But the highlight for me was working with owner Chef Neil Siomra. His impeccable professionalism from the first meeting to the event itself was stellar. Neil is not just an amazing chef, but an extremely congenial person. Both he, and his lovely wife and co-owner Michelle met with us multiple times long before the wedding, maintained contact with us up until the reception, discussed with us the different options, gave us samples of food and wine, and was incredibly responsive to our desires and needs.
The price was very reasonable considering the all-around excellence.
The entire staff at Pallucci was friendly, helpful, and unpretentious. If you have any sort of event that you would like to plan for 30-50 people, this venue is ideal. The food was just as outstanding for 50 people as it was during our other experience at Pallucci.

So for an evening out or for a larger party, I recommend Pallucci enthusiastically.

Great review - we have eaten here a couple of times and were very happy - nice to know they can handle events as well!

Based on your review, we went there for dinner. The weather was warm and there was no-one on the patio (room for 4) so the four of us sat there and it was having an outdoor restaurant to ourselves. Food was 4 out of 5 and the service was 5 out of 5. Really excellent sweet potato frittes. Nice place. Everyone should try it!
