We went for dinner at this place but it was horrible. Food was terrible, service was poor, and this place is near empty on a Sunday night. I would give it a 0 star.

Few example on the poor quality of food...

- fish and chip. The chip was soft, looks like it was fired yesterday.
- prime ribs was way overcooked. Order rare and it came well done.
- 18% tip was mandatory for 2 stars service.

No I will never come back again.

I have not been a fan of BBD for many years. Been to several locations over the years and finally said I would never go back again. Yesterday, I stopped into this location in Fremont for a super late lunch at 2:30PM. I was met at the checkout counter by a man I now know as Josua? (Prenounced hose way). Sorry if I spelled your name wrong. This man politely asked me to seat myself and he would be with me in a moment. He then cashed out another patron, then brought me a menu and took my drink order.
I guess there really is no need for me to tell you very great thing this man did but I will tell you he was alone handling every customer and every position from greeter to server to bus boy. If I didn't hear the ding for a bell to let him know that there was an order up, I would have sworn that he cooked the food too. I have very specific food needs and requests to keep me away from carbs. As I stated to him while taking my order, no potatoes, no bread, dressing on the side, no crotons on my salad. All was perfect with my order. My drink was filled when I needed it, he checked on me to ask if everything was good and if I needed anything else. I am sure he did this with everyone else too but I felt he was just on his game and he made me feel welcomed and taken care of. I tipped accordingly and introduced myself before I left and told him, I would return soon. This man made me a believer in BBD again. He is the reason I will return. Oh and everything tasted great! Also, I love iced tea. You know how some restuarants have cloudy iced tea that makes you think their iced tea container never gets cleaned. Not here, here at BBD, the iced tea is golden brown with a clear brown color that you can see through. If you drink iced tea ofter, you know. Sorry no photos.

We stopped here for breakfast one early morning of our vacation. The restaurant is clean, big and quiet. Our waiter Josue was super helpful and attentive. Definitely recommend for a good meal, the portions were big! They also had the cutest bear pancake for my little one!

I’m a bit of a vampire so this morning I came in at 4 AM. Do you see yourself after a few minutes? That server will come assist you.

It seems they’re still busy with online orders as although it’s a big restaurant and there’s no one there except maybe three small tables. The server seemed pretty busy still.

The place, definitely reminds me of old school American dining with a gigantic menu and too many offerings, but in a nice vintage kind of way.

I can eat a lot of food so I opted for their bowl special which I just realized I forgot to take a photo of my receipt, but it has a long fun name and it seems to be their special dish.

I did find the white gravy to be a bit unseasoned which some people may enjoy. As a former server of Texas roadhouse I’m a big fan of their white and gray gravy second only to Jollibee‘s gravy lol. Some salt and pepper did just fine for myself with a little bit of hot sauce.

It felt like a very clean establishment. Service was pretty great for 4:30 in the morning. And you gotta keep these 24 hour shops alive and as far as service food and beyond go, I had a great breakfast.
