What sets this pet store apart is the people. The staff are kind, attentive, and truly passionate about animals. Every visit feels welcoming, and they always go above and beyond to ensure both pets and owners have a great experience. My dog is obsessed with this place and gets excited the moment we mention we're going. Their dedication, friendliness, and excellent service keep us coming back. Thank you for building such a wonderful community for local pet lovers and their furry family members!

Lots of great dog treats to choose from, with plenty of local and Canadian-made choices. Stores like this are important to keep supporting. The staff is always welcoming, and my dog enjoys every trip here.

I would rather give -5 stars if there is an option.
I have used Bosley’s self-serve dog wash at other locations before and never had an experience like this. Unfortunately, I will never return to this location, and I would not recommend their grooming facilities to anyone with a medium or large dog.
The biggest issue was the complete lack of communication. I was never told there was a 40-minute time limit before I started. Instead, I spent the first 10 minutes brushing my dog’s coat to prevent the drain from clogging, something I have always done out of courtesy. Halfway through bathing my dog, the manager suddenly informed me that I only had 40 minutes. Had I known this beforehand, I either would have skipped the brushing or simply gone to another location.
Anyone who has groomed a large dog knows that washing is the easy part. Drying takes much longer. I rushed through the bath and drying process, only to be reminded about the time limit multiple times. Meanwhile, I noticed another customer with a similarly sized dog leaving with their dog still soaking wet just to stay within the time limit.
Eventually, the manager told us we had to leave because there were reservations coming in. My dog was still half wet, so we packed up and left. However, after speaking with the employee at the front desk, I was told that I could have stayed longer if I paid the additional fee. That immediately made me question the explanation I had just been given. If the real issue was upcoming reservations, why was staying longer suddenly an option? The two explanations simply did not match, and the whole situation felt dishonest and very frustrating.
To make matters worse, when I asked where this 40-minute policy was posted, I was told it was displayed on the wall. I had specifically looked for any posted time limits before using the station and did not see one. Based on other reviews, it appears other customers have experienced the same confusion.
I completely understand that businesses need rules, and I have no problem paying additional fees if I exceed the allotted time. What I do have a problem with is not being informed of those rules before I started, being repeatedly rushed throughout the process, and then being given conflicting explanations for why I had to leave.
Forty minutes is simply unrealistic for properly grooming a large dog unless you’re expected to leave with a wet dog. If that’s the expectation, it should be clearly communicated before customers begin, not halfway through the appointment.
This experience felt disorganized, unprofessional, and incredibly disappointing. I won’t be returning to this location.

We come to this location on Victoria Drive often because it’s less than two blocks from our home. We buy our Shiba Inu’s food here regularly and also use the self-serve dog wash often. The staff here have always been very friendly, helpful, and kind to us, which is why this experience was so surprising and disappointing.
We also always do our best to keep the dog wash area clean after use. At most other locations, we usually dry our dog on the floor area beside the wash and then use the used towels afterward to wipe down and dry the area before leaving. This location request that you dry your dog inside the dog wash, presumably to keep the area clean.
Today, however, the drain in our wash became completely clogged from fur while bathing our Shiba Inu. The water level rose up to our dog’s belly. There was also a sign taped above the dryer specifically asking customers to dry their dog inside the dog wash rather than on the bench outside. Wanting to respect the posted instructions, we picked up our dog and placed him into the second unused wash stall so we could finish drying him safely while avoiding the backed-up water.
Within seconds, the owner came out and immediately told us we could only use one dog wash. We apologized right away and explained that the drain was clogged and the water had backed up. We explained that we were only trying to follow the sign’s instructions.
At that point, she became visibly angry, swung open the gate to the wash area, and slammed it so hard it bounced back open. She then aggressively unclogged the drain without giving us any direction while we stood there feeling uncomfortable and honestly intimidated, just holding our dog and waiting for her to finish before moving him back.
We completely understand having policies and respecting the space, but there was no reason to handle the situation with that level of hostility, especially toward customers who were simply trying to follow the posted instructions and manage a clogged drain that wasn’t intentional.
Very disappointing experience.

I was assaulted by an asian guy in the store i dont know if he was the owner or not but during lunchtime i went to the 711 right beside the bosleys store, I had bought chicken wings from 711 and me and my friends decided to sit down on the parkway outside of bosleys, Me and my friends were eating the chicken wings and my friends threw the bone in the parking lane but i put the bone in the bag of the chicken wings then we proceeded to walk away when suddenly i was grabbed by my hood of the hoodie and dragged to the parking spot outside of bosleys and i kept asking what are you doing let go of me and he didnt then he showed me the chicken bone which friends had thrown in the parking lot outside of bosleys and he told me to pick it up and i told him that was not me and that was my friend and he went back to his store. This guy assaulted me i was 14 at the time im 16 now.

I’ve been to Bosley / Pet Valu self-wash many times at different locations, but this was my first time at this location and by far the worst experience I’ve ever had.
I started washing my dog at 1:15 PM. When I arrived, no one informed me of any time limit, nor was there any signage posted anywhere. While I was washing my dog, an Asian lady with glasses came over and told me I was not allowed to use a brush. I pointed out that the poster above the wash station does not say brushing is prohibited. Later, a Korean manager came and repeated that brushing was not allowed because it creates too much fur. This was very confusing, as I have never had this issue at any other Bosley / Pet Valu location.
At 2:00 PM, staff suddenly came over and told me my time was up because someone had booked two wash stations for an appointment. In my past experiences, self-wash has always been first come, first serve, and if there is a booking, customers should be clearly informed in advance. My dog was still half wet, and it was very cold outside — I was genuinely worried about my dog getting sick.
They claimed there is a 45-minute time limit, but there is absolutely no signage on the wall stating this. I had no choice but to rush and finish. To make things worse, the customer with the appointment was very rude, complaining that my dog’s fur was blowing into their area and telling me to hurry up and leave.
After all of this, I was charged for an additional 30 minutes, which makes no sense.
When I checked the official self-wash rules online afterward, there is no rule against using brushes, it clearly states first come, first serve, and there is no strict rule saying you must leave immediately at a set time. This location is not operating according to the policies advertised on the website.
If you have a large or long-haired dog, I strongly recommend avoiding this location — it’s stressful, poorly managed, and I personally felt very unwelcome. Extremely disappointing experience. I will not be returning.

Staff is rude and unknowledgeable. River district one is far better and the staff gives good recommendations. Will not be returning here.

I called ahead to make sure what I needed was in stock. The staff member took the time to find both items and put them aside for me. He was super helpful. When I got there staff were friendly, rang me through quickly. I prefer this location and the customer service I get there from other locations and go out of my way to purchase my cat’s items here.

Let me start off by saying, this location is great if you're looking to SPEND money. However, if there are any issues with what was purchased, good luck getting a return/credit from this location. We purchased Primal freeze dried nuggets (a small bag) for our toy poodle to help him possibly readjust to his old food.
However, the bag we purchased, the nuggets were rock hard and near impossible to break apart or re-hydrate. Regardless we fed them to our dog anyways despite our doubts and hesitation. Feeding instructions were directed to feed him 4 nuggets per day based on his 8lbs weight and so we did just that. After the first day, he vomited. The second day, he vomited and had diarrhea. Uncertain that it was his food (since our dog has been on this food before and was okay then we didn't suspect otherwise). This was until day 4 when things got progressively worse and he had blood in his stools from the non-stop diarrhea.
I brought the bag back to Bosley's and explained to them what has happened and we had tried for several days confirming that it was his food that was causing the reaction. The store owner/management refused to do anything for me and just left it as "oh, there half a bag left - we can't". I'm extremely disturbed this was the end result. We fed him 4 nuggets for 4 days as per the bag's recommendation which equates to 16 nuggets if you do the math - yes! that's a good portion of the bag. However, who is going to compensate me for the vet visits we then after had to pay for?
I'm not confrontational, so I left the store giving the store owner back the bag of food with the receipt (proof of purchase) attached/taped to the bag and left. I told him to do as he wishes with the food because there is absolutely nothing that I can do with it at this point. We have spent THOUSANDS of dollars with Bosely's and Pet-Valu (when we lived in Toronto!) and I'm extremely saddened and disappointed that even with a sick dog now, they are unwilling to help rectify the problem.
What benefit would I have to lie about this to deceive my way for a refund and what benefit does it serve them anyways with an opened bag of food. Wouldn't it be more beneficial to them that they ensure that their customers are happy along with healthy pets so that they can CONTINUE to spend heaps of money at their store???
I've never had issues with Tisol ever in my past. Now that we are back in Vancouver - I will go back to supporting Tisol even if I have to drive the extra distance and mileage to support them. They have always granted me a refund with a reason, well knowing that we will always return as patrons for as long as we have pets. It's a life-long commitment which means a life-long customer for as long as their pets are healthy and happy. Businesses really need to start valuing their repeat customers more - what's a refund of $50 compared to the THOUSANDS of dollars we spend just to ensure a customer will continue to spend with you??? Think big picture, not small minded.
