Scotty Bons Caribbean Grill on Queensway is a great spot if you’re looking to try Caribbean-inspired fusion food. While most of the menu is Caribbean-based, they also offer creative twists that make the experience a bit different from a traditional Jamaican restaurant.

One of the things I like about this place is the variety. They have plenty of sauces to choose from, excellent coleslaw, and unique items like jerk poutine and different sandwich options that give the menu a lot of character.

I’m actually a regular Uber Eats customer from this location, but recently decided to visit in person. This time I tried more sauces than I usually do, which made the gravy a bit too rich and overpowered the balance of the dish — that was more my mistake than the restaurant’s.

Overall, it’s a great place to visit if you want Caribbean-inspired comfort food with some creative fusion options rather than strictly traditional cuisine.

First time visit, I decided to give the Jamaican pattie a try as it's something I've had at other places (Tinnel, Randy's, Tastee, etc) and am able to compare easily. Maybe it was luck of the draw, but the pattie I got from this location was very light on filling; a lot of areas near the edge had little to no filling and the areas where there was filling was still very light (i.e. the filling hadn't shifted within, it just wasn't really there in the first place). The style of pastry was OK, not the best and not the worst. The staff was nice and the restaurant itself looked quite clean and welcoming.

This review is based solely on the Jamaican pattie. I've heard good things in general about actual food dishes, so I'll have to try some actual dishes instead and forego ordering the pattie / stuffed pattie.

mannnn the food here is fireeeee! the veggie curry bowl and veggie sandwich are crazy delicious it’s truly hard to stop eating even when you’re full 😋 it’s awesome to find a caribbean restaurant that has options for vegetarians so fully expect me to be back again!

if i could make one suggestion that i feel would put you guys over the top: your chana is immaculate, if you guys start selling doubles i will literally pay whatever price you charge and buy out the whole store. that’s how dedicated i am to quality doubles and i know y’all would knock it out of the park so please consider it, it would make this girlie so happy 😭 love your food regardless besties ❤️

This location is amazing. Great food - quantities are massive w the jerk chi ken bowl and toppings are top notch- everything from the sauce to the chana(chickpeas) to the onion pepper mix to the mango chutney and their spicy sauce. Weekdays - happy hour $5 sandwiches is an unbelievable deal.

Staff is always helpful as well. I've been here ~10+ times now and have always been satisfied!

I had such a great experience at Scotty Bons. The beef patty I ordered was honestly perfect, buttery, flakey, and cooked just right. You can really taste the quality.

I also grabbed the jerk chicken sandwich and it was amazing. Super fresh, so much flavour, and just really well put together. Every bite was on point.

What stood out even more was the customer service. The lady who served me was incredibly friendly, kind, and inviting. It just made the whole visit even better.

Overall, great food and even better vibes. I will definitely be going back.

Overall, the chain offers slightly above-average food, but this particular location falls well below the standard of other restaurants. While the staff are friendly and courteous, the food quality is consistently disappointing. The rice is always overcooked, and the portions are noticeably smaller than at other branches. The only reason I tried this location was the two-for-one Uber promotion, but I won’t be returning

Perfection! ✨ This evening we ordered from here for the first time through Uber Eats, and I can assure you — the food did not disappoint. The oxtail with rice and all the fixings was absolutely incredible, bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. What really stood out was the balance: a generous portion of tender meat paired with just the right amount of rice. Many places pile on the rice, but here, they got it exactly right. Insanely delicious and worth every bite! Will 100000000% order from here again. Must try!!!!

Tried scotty bons for the first time 2 weeks ago, and since then, I have been thinking about the Jerk Chicken Poutine. Was leaving cineplex and saw this location, and I had to come get one. The poutine is great. The spice of the Jerk Chicken contrasted by the cheese curds and coleslaw to cool the spice is the perfect bite.

Welcome to the rotation for when I don't want to cook.

I had ScottyBons for the first time delicious and fantastic value. The bowl was $15 the jerk chicken was the highlight, lots of flavour and perfect spice level. The rice was great as well. I personally could have done with more slaw and less of the other salads but I believe that was optional.

First time trying this restaurant at this Queensway location and man they don’t skim on portions. Got me right, goat was seasoned good, soft, both rice options are good as well. Rice & peas and Scotty Rice with slaw and their mango chutney was so good! Going to see what else is good but I definitely recommend their curry goat. Easy 5/5

I had a pleasure of ordering food from here. Order was jerk chicken in the bowl
BBQ chicken in the bowl I also got jerk fries along with beef patties and omg what a flavor. I truly wanted to say thank you for making such a beautiful food. Full of flavor, amazing portions and everything I ordered today was as fresh as it could be and so tasty. Thanks to chef for putting it all together so beautifully. My first time ordering for here. I ordered the curry chicken in a bowl and my girl ordered the ox tail in a bowl. Everything was done very well and loved the choices to add to my bowl. I strongly recommend this place
