Just a short walk from my hotel and definitely worth it. The food was packed with flavor and tasted fresh. I had the Cajun fish and shrimp bowl, and it did not disappoint. Service was quick, friendly, and welcoming from start to finish. Great spot if you’re looking for delicious Caribbean food in the area. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town.

Love this plce, the portion is good, price is fair, the pickled peppers are so good, also love the hot sauce which has this nice scotch bonnet pepper flavor in it, their curry goat is great, their oxtail is beyond great lol, both are tender and flavorful, absolutely amazing

Edit 2: I tried Scotty bons again today hoping for any change. It's worse - I've reduced it to 1 star. I've added two more photos and you can see that 1 of 3 pieces of chicken is the exact size of my fork. How are pieces getting EVEN smaller?!

I used to love this place... before their portions became tinny nuggets. Been eating here for years and it hurts me to be so fustrated to the point of writing this review. When ordering a bowl they give 3 chicken pieces, if you're reducing the size of your chicken you should consider giving 4. We notice. It's frustrating seeing them cut back on cost

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Truly deserves more.)

Scotty Bons has been our go-to for jerk chicken for a long time, and once again the food was outstanding — perfectly seasoned, smoky, tender, and packed with flavor. The rice and sides were just as good. Consistency like this is why we keep coming back.

But this review is really about the people.

I recently had surgery, and when Zubair found out, he wrote “Made with extra love” (you can see it on the lid in the photo) with a heart and smiley face — and even tucked in a small extra treat. It may seem like a small thing, but during a stressful week, that simple gesture genuinely made my day.

That kind of thoughtfulness isn’t something you can fake. It comes from real care.

Zubair — thank you for the kindness. You turned great food into something memorable.

Stopped by for the first time and I'm already planning my next visit. The jerk chicken was everything you want it to be—juicy, piping hot, and packed with flavor. We got a jerk chicken sandwich, a bowl, and grabbed an oxtail roti to go. Every bite hit.
We actually ate in, which seems rare since most folks are grabbing takeaway or Uber orders, but it was a nice vibe. The lady who took our order was super friendly and made the whole experience feel welcoming.
If you're craving legit jerk chicken, this is the spot. Highly recommend.

I will say you must must go here and fully enjoy. I know what Caribbean food should taste like and Scotty’s is awesome. Curry Chicken, rice n peas, plantain and coleslaw, stuffed Cocobun with patty. If we could give more than 5 stars we would. Patties so much better than Tin Nels or Tasty. Staff on Bloor are on point and friendly. We will definitely be going back. Also locations should be open in Hamilton. 😊

So good, there was over 30 uber eats pre orders before they were even open. You already know it was gonna be good. Had the jerk chicken and the coconut pepper shrimp, flavours were there and hit the spot.

Scotty Bon’s has become one of my go-to spots in Toronto when I’m craving real Caribbean comfort food that’s both flavorful and thoughtfully presented. I especially love their signature bowls, which are a genius way to experience all the best parts of a Jamaican meal in one dish.

The portions are generous — the rice perfectly cooked, the plantains always sweet and caramelized, and the jerk chicken tender with just the right amount of heat. Each bowl feels like it’s been put together with care, balanced between spicy, savory, and sweet. The Jerk Chicken Bowl is my favorite, but the Curry Chicken and oxtail bowls are also worth trying if you want variety or a lighter option.

The flavors are authentic but modern — not too greasy, and the presentation is surprisingly clean for casual dining. My only small critique is that sometimes the service can feel a bit rushed during busy hours, but the food more than makes up for it.

Glad this brand opened a location downtown as I was trying to get to the Scarborough one for some time but it was out of my way, especially after leaving the province. I like the fresh format Scotty Bon's presents Caribbean cuisine in. Cocobread sandwiches aren't a common offering in Caribbean restaurants from my past experience so I had to go for the Jerk chicken sandwich and I loved it. The variety of flavourful toppings really makes each bite an island adventure. The service is quick and good. Pricing was fair too. I'm not in Toronto too many times a year these days but if I ever returned I'd love to try one of their bowls.

My friend bullied me for a week to go here so I finally caved and I’m so glad I did. The portions are huge (this one bowl made 2 meals) and absolutely delicious. A lot of side and sauce options to choose from.

I got the jerk chicken bowl with almost everything added to it. The girl in front of me got the bbq chicken poutine and I got jealous watching them add the cheese curds to her meal. Definitely trying that next time.

The restaurant was clean and the workers are so fast and helpful. The menu is just simply amazing trying out the different dishes was definitely worth it 10/10 for the jerk chicken bowl along with the barbeque chicken bowl. Toppings are good choices to add to your meal. The patty is a must to try. Great experience, delicious meals, friendly staff, good location and great customer service 👍🏾 I will definitely go back again soon.

My workplace catered Scotty Bons, with Jerk Chicken and BBQ chicken bowls and was it ever delicious! Portions were beyond satisfactory. Their spicy scott bonnet sauce is to die for, spicy, but delicious! First time trying it and definitely will order from them again. Everything was packed perfectly, with lots of utensils and large bottles of the 3 sauces.

I’ve been to the actual store once, and got this on DoorDash a couple of times (it’s always buy one get one free ??). There’s limited seating in the store unfortunately so keep that in mind if you’re dining in. The food itself is pretty good. It’s a little too saucy for my liking, like I honestly feel like it’s just DRENCHED in sauce and something about that feels unhealthy ?? The sauce kinda overpowers everything on the plate and it’s all you can taste. Chicken is pretty good though.

This place has a great variety of food with a reasonable price to complement the amazing tastes. Without a question this is my go to for takeout and delivery. The times that I have been there in person, the staff have been courteous and helpful. The interior is also clean and well maintained. I am unsure about the in person seating beyond the 2-3 at the window though, so keep that in mind!

First time visit and this place is fantastic! The music is great and the friendly staff helped answered my questions. I got the Jerk Chicken Poutine and it was beyond amazing. Had jerk chicken sandwich today….chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned. It was my first time hence asked one of the employees to choose toppings for me. She was really nice…😊😊her professionalism and helpfulness was evident. Really demure and clean restaurant with super nice employees. Definitely my go to place for lunch❤️❤️.
