I visited this practice in January after struggling with what I believed to be perioral dermatitis for approximately four months. I decided it was time to seek professional medical care, and the process of scheduling the appointment was pleasant and straightforward.

Unfortunately, my experience during the actual appointment was very disappointing. I was taken back quickly and only waited a few moments before a nurse practitioner entered the room. She sat across from me, briefly glanced at my face, and immediately said, “Yes, that’s perioral dermatitis.” She did not come close to properly examine my skin or ask many questions about my symptoms, how long I had been experiencing them, or how they had been affecting me.

I also asked about several other marks on my body, which she briefly looked at and dismissed as nothing concerning. I was prescribed a very oily topical cream to use twice a week and was reassured that it would likely clear up the dermatitis. Unfortunately, after using it for approximately a month, my condition actually became worse.

Because I was unhappy with the lack of thoroughness and follow-up, I decided to seek a second opinion from another dermatology practice. They agreed that I had perioral dermatitis, but the difference in care was significant. The dermatologist took the time to properly examine my skin, discuss my symptoms, and prescribed both a topical treatment and an antibiotic. My condition improved almost immediately.

Even more concerning, during that examination, the second dermatology practice identified an area on my face that turned out to be skin cancer—something that had been overlooked during my visit to this practice. I find this extremely concerning, particularly because I had specifically asked about other areas of my skin during my original appointment.

My experience left me feeling as though my concerns were not taken seriously and that I was being rushed through the appointment rather than receiving a thorough examination. What was especially frustrating was that I had been dealing with significant discomfort for months and felt that the provider did not take the time to understand what I was experiencing.

Additionally, I was never informed that I needed a referral prior to my appointment. I do not frequently visit doctors, so this was not something I was aware of. I later had a much better experience with the second dermatology practice, where they clearly explained the referral requirement and helped make sure everything was handled correctly.

Since my visit, I have also continued receiving requests for additional payment, which has been particularly frustrating given my overall experience and the fact that a subsequent dermatologist identified a serious skin concern that was missed during my original visit. I will be speaking with my insurance in regards to this.

I understand that medical diagnoses can sometimes be difficult and that no provider can identify every condition, but I believe patients deserve to feel heard, respected, and thoroughly examined—especially when they are seeking help for a persistent condition. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend this practice and strongly encourage anyone seeking dermatological care to make sure they feel comfortable with the thoroughness of their examination and the attention given to their concerns.

First time visiting a dermatologist and it was a good one! Location is easy to find parking for. Very clean and comfortable waiting room. Staff was pleasant and got to customers quickly. Medical Assistant was knowledgeable and took my history fairly quickly asking good questions to assess the visit. The PA was personable, knowledgeable and gave me good recommendations for everything I asked. I was in and out very quickly!

Went in for an annual check which was smooth and easy to schedule, hence the two stars. I added Botox and the way they do it is one area for $250 which is not a typical way to charge. They gave me 16 units for my “Eleven” and when I asked why only 16 when I have received 28 elsewhere with the same product the provider told me maybe they likely had a different way of doing it. Two weeks later I didn’t need a touch up so I did not go in again. However, at the six week mark it has basically all worn off. I called back and asked about a touch up/what they could do for me. The provider reached out to her director and let me know they cannot do anything. This is really frustrating since I paid $250 plus $50 appointment fee. I would go back for an annual but not Botox. I feel ripped off that they wouldn’t even see me again to discuss without another appointment and $250….. not great customer service especially for a repeat product!

Dr. Lipoff was great, but unfortunately I find it hard to give my business to anywhere so determined to force its clients to interface with AI instead of allowing them to talk to the front desk (there is literally no way to call the office). Trying to get a simple rx pre-approval or even just reschedule an appointment was so frustrating that I'll be going elsewhere. If Dr. Lipoff ever moves to a different office in the area I'd be happy to see him there instead.

Absolutely love coming here. Every employee I’ve spoken to is so sweet and way the office is decorated is awesome. (Hint: check out the back of the bathroom door).

They diagnosed my problem very quickly and within three sessions I’ve already seen great results. I HIGHLY recommend coming here.
